Several events have taken place across Israel to commemorate victims a year on from Hamas’s attack on 7 October.

Israel’s parliament lowered the country’s flag to half-mast to mark the one-year anniversary.

Friends and relatives returned to the site of the Supernova festival in Re’im, southern Israel, where they replayed the last song heard before the attackers struck.

In Tel Aviv, people formed a human chain to call for more to be done to secure the release of the remaining hostages.
