NHS must reform or die, says Wes Streeting

Wes Streeting defends calling the NHS “broken” after the BBC revealed growing unease among health leaders about government messaging.

Speaking to Political Thinking with Nick Robinson, the health secretary said it was right to “face up to the scale of the challenge” and that failure to do so risked “killing the NHS with kindness”.

He said NHS staff wanted a health secretary to be “honest” about the “scale of the challenge”.
