Two Palestinian gunmen believed of being involved in the killing of a British-Israeli mother and her two daughters have been shot dead.
A third gunman was also killed in the raid in Nablus.
Israel says all three men were members of the Islamist group Hamas.
Lucy Dee and her two daughters, Maia, and Rina were killed in the Jordan Valley during the Passover holiday season last month (April).
Mrs Dee’s husband, Rabbi Leo Dee, said he was delighted to hear the gunmen were “neutralised and eliminated”.
He said: “I and the kids were delighted to hear that the terrorists were neutralised and eliminated today, and most of all that it was done in a way that apparently did not endanger the lives of Israeli soldiers.
“Because that was one of the most important things from our family’s perspective.”
Israeli officials named the three gunmen as Hassan Katnani, Moaz Masri and Ibrahim Hura.
An Israeli military spokesman said:
“This morning (May 4th), during a joint…counterterrorism activity, the Hamas terrorist operatives Hassan Ktnani and Maed Mitsri were killed.
“The terrorists murdered Leah (Lucy), Maia and Rina Dee on April 7th in a shooting attack adjacent to the community of Hamra.”
Israel had for several weeks been carrying out a manhunt for the Dee family’s killers.
